Situated right at the door to the Var department, and not far from the only crossing of the Siagne                   river, Montauroux is proud to boast of its 280 days ot sunshine each year.

The village was the scene ot a battle betw en Henri VI and the Duc of Savoie in 1592 and many points in the village evoke its past.

Christian Dior chose Montauroux tor his summer residence at Chateau de la Colle Noire.
